Treating Your Pets Like Family Since 1994
APPOINTMENT

Colony Veterinary Hospital strives to offer high quality individualized medical care for your beloved pets.

Colony Veterinary Hospital is proud to be your La Jolla veterinarian of choice since 1994. We believe in providing the most comprehensive care possible. We take into consideration that not all pets live the same lifestyle, and will customize your pet’s care and treatment specifically for them. Part of what makes our hospital great is our location, conveniently located in La Jolla, California.

Sarah Vineyard, DVM

Sarah Vineyard, DVM

Veterinarian

Originally from Michigan, Dr. Vineyard left the Midwest and moved to San Diego to pursue her career in Veterinary Medicine. Prior to purchasing Colony Veterinary Hospital in 2013, she had worked in several small animal practices in the San Diego area. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology as well as Animal Science at MSU. Dr. Vineyard is an active member of the American, California, and San Diego Veterinary Medical Associations as well as one of the very few Certified Veterinary Acupuncturists practicing in the San Diego area. She has a special interest in surgery, internal medicine, integrative medicine, chronic pain management and acupuncture.

Her passions include cooking, walking her energetic pups, and rooting for MSU sports teams. In her downtime, you can find her attending as many Bruce Springsteen concerts as possible!

She shares her household with her loving husband, Ben. The house is ruled by Mony (the wise springer/border collie mix), Wiggles (the always in motion Labrador… her name is very fitting), Skid Mark (a very sweet domestic shorthair), and Lucille Bald (a Sphynx that loves to cuddle, but also nibble on your ear).

When asked what her favorite part of her job is, she replied “Being able to share in the bond between pets and their people.”

Allison K.

Registered Veterinary Technician

Allison Graduated from Stanbridge University. She went on to work at a small animal hospital as a Veterinary Assistant. She’s worked hard to pursue her RVT license and started her journey at CVH at the beginning of 2017. Her devotion to the field can be seen when she arrives to work early and eager to help the clients/patients for the day. She enjoys being a surgical technician and strives to make sure your pet receives quality care. With the occasional need to sleep, Allison will probably be spotted hiking, snowboarding, or doing anything in the outdoors! Her 2 dogs (Lola and Kloe), 3 cats (Kip, Maui, and Ziggie), and her turtle Pasiden occupy her heart.

She spends her spare time road tripping with her fiance, playing video games, and spending quality time with family. She has 2 cats, Jack and Tora, a Dachshund mix named Buddy, and a bearded dragon named Maximus.
